Even the nights are better..

Music and lyrics, the two things without which our life would be meaningless. There are very few talented ones who could combine these two things in such a way that it would touch the deepest part of one's soul. Today I feel like talking about two such gentlemen, two heart-wrenching musicians known as Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, who not just created world records with their singles, but made a special place in the heart of every person who has ever been in love.

Even though Air Supply became popular in an age when music was in its golden era, I started listening to this band pretty late, during a time 'when it looked as though my life was wrong'. I had listened to their more popular numbers on the radio, well, songs like 'Making love out of nothing at all', 'Lost in love', and 'Two less lonely people'. So one fine day I just happened to pick up their album 'Forever Love' at the music store, not knowing at that time what a magical experience the entire album would be. Pretty soon, I got engulfed by the entire collection. I began to notice the gems embedded in each and every word, in each and every rhythm. It felt as if someone went through my entire life, and wrote a few songs about it. It was like listening about every feeling I have ever had, of falling in love, to being in love, to losing love. They have an uncanny ability to write about very basic things (like when you are holding the phone in your hand, wanting to call them but you can't) in such a poetic way that makes you appreciate the rhythm, the style, as well as makes you cry!

Over time, I got indulged into the less popular songs as well. Songs like Chances, Power of Love, Just as I am, etc made my days, healed my wounds, made me look within my soul, over and over again. To sum up the effects of Air Supply on my life in a hub would be too difficult a task. This is just a way to express my gratitude towards these two gentlemen for having created some of the most wonderful pieces of music there ever was.

This is to Graham and Russell, 'I can wait forever, if you say you'll be there, too'.
